Lion Mountain
The Lion Mountain lies in the southeast (north of Mahebourg). For example, you can see it from the airport and on the way there. Its shape looks like a lying lion.
As with Corps de Garde, there are several paths you can take on the mountain, that we can also combine into a circular route.
This mountain is not very high but as with the Trois Mamelles there are quite strenuous sections on this mountain. The interesting thing here is, when you are on the lion's back, you are still walking in the forest. Even when you reach its head, the surroundings are quite overgrown. At the end, there is still a piece where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the surroundings landscape.
