The day in the South
A day in the south has been a part of our program for many years and offers an insight into the highlights of the island and, for our cruise guests, a stop at the beach and Visit at the Rumerie of Chamarel. First we will drive to the holy lake (Grand Bassin), the most significant religious site of the Hindu population. The program includes the viewpoint of the Black River National Park, before going on to Chamarel to admire its seven colored earths. A Visit and a Rum Tasting at Chamarels Rumerie is included. From there, we drive down to the south coast to Maconde (a spectacular hairpin bend) and along the picturesque south coast. Lunch: It depends when we can start in the morning and during the trip we decide to have lunch in chamarel or at Le Morne Beach. If we take the lunch at chamare we will stop at la preneuse beach. Here you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beach and swim. Please bring dry clothes to change into. After the last stop we will drive back to Port Louis.
