The day in the forest
Directly after pickup by your English-speaking guide from your hotel we drive to the national park of the island of Mauritius. In Petrin we make a short stop at the office of the Black River Gorges National Park. After short explanations, we continue to the viewpoint Black River Gorges. Here our guests have a magnificent view into the canyon of the national park and with a little luck we can also see macaques, the monkeys imported from Indonesia. After a short drive through the national park from the plateau down to Chamarel, you will visit the waterfalls and the seven colored earths with the turtles. Afterwards, our real highlight is the visit to the Ebony Forest. In the Ebony Forest our guests will hike about 2-3h and also try to track the endemic birds. Next door is La Villeon with probably the most attractive zipline on the island and subsequent Nepalese bridge ( entrance and use here at the expense of the guests )
